Beth-El Religious School takes learning on the road (and brings it home)
Creativity With Content is our motto when it comes to Jewish education. We strive for student experiences that have depth, relevance and connects our students to real-world Judaism.
We are excited to kick off this school year with several great field trips and unique events to elevate and deepen our students’ learning.
Over the semester, students will visit the Virginia Museum of History and Culture to visit the Rosenwald Schools exhibit and follow up by visiting Second Union School in Goochland where they will hear from speakers who attended that Rosenwald school.
A visit to Loving Acres Animal Sanctuary will coincide with Parsha Noach in November.
Our Better Together program, supported by the Jewish Education Project, will provide a sweet beginning to the New Year with Amanda’s Custom Treats.
Preparing for Rosh Hashana will be “sweet as honey on our tongues” when our teens and seniors learn to design special Rosh Hashana treats.
As an added, Mitzvah, Amanda’s Custom Treats donates to the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center with every program or order.
Later in the fall, local artist Holly Markoff will lead the Better Together group in designing and creating Tzaddik/Tzedek boxes.
We are looking forward to these special learning opportunities over this semester.
