High Holidays In Midlothian? No Problem!

Kehillah’s Summer

Kehillah’s summer was kicked off with a series of home-based, spiritual and delicious programs including Shabbat Dinner at the Rabbi’s and our ongoing Jewish Learning series. As a partner in Richmond’s Jewish life, Kehillah was honored to promote events by other organizations all throughout the spring and summer including Congregation Or Atid.

For more information about how Kehillah can be part of your Jewish journey and for free membership, go to kehillahrva.org. Follow us on our Facebook and Instagram at @KehillahRVA.

Coming Up

Shabbat at the Rabbi’s – Sept. 6 | 6-8 p.m.

Homemade Shabbat dinner at the Rabbi’s, followed by soulful acoustic melodies led by Robin Rio and words of inspiration with Rabbi Patrick.

Tickets are $20/person for your dinner and drinks. (Free if you’re age 18 or under!) Dinner menu will be posted closer to the date.

All are welcome!

No Kehillah or Jewish experience required.

Jewish Learning – Tuesday, Sept. 10 | 6-7:30 p.m.

Join us for our informal learning sessions where we explore (and debate!) Jewish ideas about life. New topics at every session, from complex questions about God to creating a more loving world.

This series is open to anyone aged 13+ who is Jewish, wants to be Jewish, loves a Jewish person, or is just a little “Jewcurious”. No Jewish knowledge or experience required.

This month’s topic: What Is Progressive Judaism? Kehillah is independent and progressive. But what does “progressive” mean? If we’re not Orthodox, Conservative or Reform, then what are we? And how are we supposed to live this identity?

High Holidays In Midlothian

High Holidays are around the corner, and Kehillah is proud to be hosting the only High Holidays option in Midlothian. A big thanks to our friends at Empower Fitness for providing an amazing space for gathering, spiritual reflection, and some delicious High Holidays nosh.

Our approach is independent, progressive, and draws from Reform and Reconstructionist Jewish practices and prayer.

Discount tickets are already available, and kids, 18 and under, are free. All are welcome to enjoy High Holidays with Kehillah whether you’re Jewish, not Jewish, love a Jewish person, or think of yourself as “Jew-Ish.”
