The NextGen division of the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond recently partnered with Jacob’s Chance for an exciting and heartwarming afternoon of bowling.
Held at Bowl America in Short Pump, the event brought together enthusiastic NextGen members and over 30 participants from Jacob’s Chance, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of young people with special needs through inclusive activities and opportunities. As the pictures show, all had fun and were full of smiles.
The lanes were filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the joy of shared experiences. The NextGen attendees, representing young Jewish adults in their 20s, 30s, and early 40s, were thrilled to connect with the Jacob’s Chance community, fostering meaningful interactions.
Bowling lanes buzzed with excitement as participants cheered each other on, celebrated strikes and spares, and supported each other’s efforts. The Jacob’s Chance members and families expressed their gratitude for the presence and participation of the NextGen members, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and community engagement. For many, this event was not just about bowling, but about creating a space where everyone felt valued and appreciated.
This beautifully illustrated the teaching from Psalms 133:1: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” This verse celebrates the joy and beauty of communal harmony and unity, perfectly capturing the mood of the evening.
Overall, the bowling event was a resounding success, reinforcing the commitment of NextGen to broaden its impact and support diverse initiatives within the Richmond community.
This memorable program has set the stage for future collaborations, as both the Jewish Community and and Jacob’s Chance look forward to continuing their partnership and creating more inclusive, joyous experiences for all.
