A little heat and humidity can’t keep PJ Library families away from a fun morning.
The special event – PJ Library Color Splash – featured many families with children, ages 9 to under one year, coming to Camp Hilbert in Maidens, Goochland County, on Sunday, July 21.
They engaged in creative color play and exploration, indulged in refreshing popsicles, then made a splash in the pool. Children and parents fingerpainted, made a colorful collage, decorated the pool deck with chalk, and painted with spray bottles.
“We were so glad to spend our daughter’s 10-month birthday at Camp Hilbert this weekend at PJ Library’s ColorSplash event and continuing to socialize at the pool after. The volunteers and Lisa were beyond amazing. We came home with a bit of baby artwork and plan on doing more of these in the future! It was a great way to engage with other young Jewish families in the area!” – PJ Parent Paul Witten
The Jewish Community Federation of Richmond is the proud implementing partner for PJ Library in Richmond. We extend thanks to our event’s co-sponsor, the Weinstein JCC and our fantastic event host, Camp Hilbert.
The event would not have been a success without these volunteers: Rebekah Dickinson, Teddy Dickinson, Esther Shoenfeld Emmy Simon, Hazel Spivey, Eli Staffenberg, Kaden Staffenberg, and Lead PJ Parent Volunteer Molly Dickinson.
