Over 165 people joined the Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Committee and the Rotary Club of Richmond for the Richmond Mayors Forum at the Virginia Holocaust Museum on Sept. 4.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Moderating the forum were Jeff Schapiro, Richmond Times-Dispatch, and Michael Phillips, The Richmonder.

Each of the five mayoral candidates answered a variety of questions from the moderators as well as delivering opening and closing remarks. The candidates are: Andreas Addison (I); Dr. Danny Avula; Michelle Mosby (I); Maurice Neblett (I); and Harrison Roday (I).

Federation Board member and City of Richmond resident Brian Greene helped to welcome the attendees.

“We are pleased to partner with The Rotary Club of Richmond,” he noted. “This joint forum will provide the opportunity for our community members to come together with Rotarians to hear from candidates about the issues critical to our community, including the safety and security of all who are Jewish across the City of Richmond.”
