Zoom in on Women’s Health in Virginia!

Tuesday, December 17 @ 5:30

The Constitutional Amendment for Reproductive Freedom will be introduced again for its first passage in our state legislature this January, 2025.

Hadassah Richmond advocates need to be ready to support this constitutional change however we are able.

This means we need you and your help.

Join us for a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17. 5:30 p.m., to see what small part you can do to keep our healthcare rights intact here in Virginia.

Together we are a strong voice for women’s rights. JOIN US!

Hadassah has, and always will, unequivocally stand for women’s reproductive rights, empowering women with the knowledge to make critical health decisions for themselves and their families.

Hadassah is committed to ensuring that women — not elected officials or employers — control their own bodies and family planning decisions. Reproductive health choices, based on full and accurate medical information and guidance, must be made in accordance with a woman’s own religious, moral and ethical values.

Virginia needs constitutional protections that do more than Roe v. Wade ever could. Under Roe, pregnancy outcomes were still criminalized, clinics were forced to close due to medically unnecessary TRAP regulations, and patients were subject to burdensome and cruel restrictions like mandatory ultrasounds and waiting periods.

We need a constitutional amendment that covers the full range of reproductive healthcare and expands access. And that this access continues to be available in Virginia to save women’s lives.

Please come to learn about the language of the amendment and how the multi-year process will transpire and the effort that it will take to even begin the process.

Please also mark your calendars with these important dates:

Wednesday, Jan. 29, Date with the State/ Jewish Advocacy Day

Monday, Feb. 4, Crossover Week in Commonwealth of Virginia legislature
