Volunteers gather at the Federation office to help celebrate the day for Jews locally, in Israel and around the world.

A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers and community members for making this Super Sunday a historic success on Dec. 8.

We surpassed a record-breaking $224,000 for the day. Mazel Tov to everyone who volunteered and answered our calls! Those dollars enable the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond to fulfill our mission of:

  • Strengthening Jewish Identity.
  • Fostering Jewish Continuity.
  • Inspiring connections to Israel and world Jewry.

Our seventy volunteers were led by Co-Chairs Russ Jennings and Tracy Retchin, We  are grateful to all of them for doing the hard work of calling on behalf of the Federation’s 2025 Annual Campaign. (See many photos below)

It was a pleasure to see many seasoned volunteers and a number of new faces, too. Hundreds of meaningful conversations were held during the  four -hour telethon.

Nannette Shor and her mother, Hedy Lapkin.
Volunteers won prizes during Super Sunday too. Holding their prizes are Rabbi Zeb Silver, Malky Goldberg and Crystal Jackson.
