At the heart of the Weinstein JCC, our aquatics team is more than just a group of skilled professionals – they’re a dedicated community devoted to water safety and the well-being of every member. With a strong focus on continuous training, they regularly refine their skills to ensure everyone enjoys a safe and enriching experience in our pools.
But their commitment goes far beyond technical skills. Our aquatics team views each training session as an opportunity to connect with each other and uphold the values that make the Weinstein JCC special.
This October, during Yom Kippur, we integrated Jewish values into our training by practicing Tashlich at the pool. Each team member wrote a skill they hope to bring to the JCC in the coming year on a sticky note. In a fun twist on tradition, we tossed these notes into our “sea”– the rec pool! This unique exercise brought our team closer, reminding us that our mission extends beyond the pool.
Our staff is dedicated to connecting with every member, whether they’re guiding young swimmers in imaginative lessons or welcoming adults to water fitness classes. They strive to ensure each person feels safe, supported, and valued at the JCC.
