Two Purim Events in Midlothian; Glen Allen Home-Hosted Shabbat & More
Join Kehillah on March 14, 5:30 p.m. at Art Factory in Midlothian for a pre-Shabbat family-friendly Purim costume party. Festivities include:
- Kid-friendly food and hamantaschen
- Create-your-own mishloach manot (Purim gift bag) station
- Kehillah’s signature free Jewish bookstore
- An English version of the Megillah by the Rabbi (6 p.m.)
- Costumes will be available at the door, but you’re encouraged to bring your own
This is a casual, contemporary gathering – no Hebrew experience or membership is required. Interfaith and family friendly. All are welcome!
Entry to the event is free, but RSVP is required.
Donations are encouraged to benefit Kehillah’s holiday programming. This is the FIRST EVER Midlothian Purim Party, so let’s make it amazing.
Now, if you’re interested in something more low-key and adult, you can come to our Purim Shabbat After Party at 7:45 p.m. for a relaxing hang out in the Rabbi and Rbbetzin’s home.
We’ll have Shabbat candle lighting and kiddush, enjoy craft cocktails, delicious eats, and hamentaschen, and listen to Israeli vinyl records from the 1970s.
Come in your Purim costume or dress however you’d like. This is a small, intimate event and not a Shabbat service. Limited to 15 people with a $20 ticket. Tickets are free for volunteers.
