Mark your calendars for our Yom HaShoah Commemoration on Sunday, April 27, held in the Virginia Holocaust Museum’s Choral Synagogue.
This year, we are honored to welcome Ambassador Dennis Ross as our keynote speaker.
Ambassador Ross, a distinguished diplomat and expert in Middle East policy, has played a key role in shaping U.S. involvement in the peace process. He has served under multiple administrations, including as special assistant to President Obama, senior advisor to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and chief negotiator in the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. The author of five books, Ambassador Ross has also contributed op-eds to The New York Times, The Washington Post, and more.
Join us as we come together to honor the memory of the Holocaust and reflect on its lessons for today.
The 2025 Carole Weinstein Prizes for Tolerance and Justice in the Visual Arts contest winners will also be announced at Yom HaShoah.
This contest, open to students in grades 6–12, invites young artists to show how the stories of local Survivors have inspired them.
Submissions are due by March 30, and the contest is made possible by a generous grant from Marcus and Carole Weinstein.
