The Federation’s 2025 Annual Campaign stands at $3,162,423 with two months left in the fiscal year, thanks to the generous support of longtime and new donors. That is $40,000 more than last year’s total campaign.

The growing campaign is indicative of the increasing engagement of Richmond’s Jewish community at a time when studies show there is an intensifying desire for connectivity in Jewish communities globally.

“This milestone is about more than just numbers; it’s about what these dollars do for Jewish Richmond and Jews around the world,” said Brad Kaplan, Federation Chief Philanthropy Officer.

The campaign funds allocations to dozens of partner organizations based on their needs and where they will have the greatest impact. More specifically, there are seven targeted funding areas including Security and Combating Antisemitism, Jewish education, Jewish caring, Jewish leadership, Jewish connectivity, Cultural exchange and outreach, and Israel and overseas.

The campaign relies on a dedicated, passionate and persistent group of professionals and volunteers.

“While there are too many people to thank, I’d like to acknowledge our Campaign Chair, Brian Greene, for being a truly dynamic and thoughtful partner throughout the campaign,” expressed Kaplan.

The campaign ends June 30 so there is still time to contribute as the needs of the community exceed Federation’s capacity to meet them despite the impressive achievement thus far.
