December was a busy month at the shul with more in store
December’s highlights included:
- Numerous Hanukkah displays went up at area libraries and museums throughout the Chesterfield and Appomattox regions (a picture from the Chester Library is shown). Check out the Dec. 8, 2022 article in the Progress-Index for the Hanukkah study room in The Centre Hill Museum Showcase.
- The latest installment of Hebrew lessons at non-traditional environments was held at Ettrick-Matoaca Library. Grahm Brightly-Goldstein won the most recent Hingo (Hebrew Bingo) competition for a gift card.
- Congregation Brith Achim’s Hanukkah celebration featured singer Lynne Lapidas on the first night of Hanukkah.
Services also completely resumed with shabbat services every Friday evening and Saturday morning.
January continues our outreach, community Hebrew classes, adult shabbat services and dedicated children’s services.
