Jewish Family Theatre at the Weinstein JCC is busy with their youth programming for summer!

Their teen musical, The Prom, by Matthew Sklar, Chad Beguelin, and Bob Martin is a piece of contemporary theater that celebrates the themes of diversity, equity and inclusion which are so important to teens in these lively and challenging times.

Directed by Hanna Clinton with musical direction by Elle Meerovich, a cast of 20-plus teens and youth mentors will bring this story to life on-stage at the Weinstein JCC in the Israel November Auditorium from May 31- June 11.

If you know a young adult (ages 13-18) who might be interested, it’s not too late to contact Debra Clinton at dclinton@weinsteinjcc.org to find out more on how to participate!

Jewish Family Theatre is also offering two summer camps for middle schoolers interested in theater and just having a good time!

Stars to Be is a one-week half-day camp during the July Fourth holiday week (no camp on July Fourth) focusing on skills, games, and introduction to all elements of theatre, including the world backstage. These camps are designed for middle school students (ages 10-13)

In August, Jewish Family Theatre is offering “On Broadway”—a two week full-day intensive where the students spend their time on-stage and backstage. At the end of the two weeks the participants will put on a show for family and friends!
