Rebekah Nelson and I hosted an incredibly inspiring Pearl Society Brunch on Sunday, March 26, at Ardent’s Barrel Room in Scott’s Addition.
The brunch was for current and prospective members of The Pearl Society. The Pearl Society is a giving level honoring women under 45 years old who make a minimum commitment of $180 per year to the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond.
At the brunch, 52 women enjoyed catching up with old friends, welcoming new community members, and enjoying the camaraderie of being together over a delicious catered brunch given by JCFR Women’s Philanthropy.
Danielle Kennedy talked about the meaning behind The Pearl, I shared why I am called to dedicate my time and resources to the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond, and Robyn Galpern told about her recent trip to Latvia and the global impact of Federation.
Eleven women were honored as new Pearl Society members, with three deciding to join on the spot after being motivated by the event.
Susie Adolf, sponsor of this year’s Pearl Society necklaces, reflected, “The number of ladies there and the quality of the program made me feel so secure in the future of our Federation and of Jewish Richmond.”
The Pearl Society is a giving level that honors women under the age of 45 who make a minimum commitment of $180 a year to the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond’s Annual Campaign.
