The Weinstein JCC Send a Kid to Camp Scholarship Fund is creating life-changing opportunities for young students, ensuring that every child, regardless of their financial circumstances, can experience the joys and personal growth that summer camps offer.
Generous donors have already provided scholarships to 50 deserving families, and now, in collaboration with Richmond Public Schools, the fund is excited to announce ten full scholarships available to second and third-grade students.
The selected campers will have the incredible opportunity to spend two weeks at the esteemed Camp Hilbert, immersing themselves in a diverse range of activities such as athletics, performing arts, canoeing, fishing, art, and Israeli culture.
For many of these students, this will be their first introduction to a swimming pool or the experience of attending summer camp, making it an extraordinary and transformative occasion.
The main goal of the Send a Kid to Camp Scholarship Fund is to ensure that these young campers can fully embrace their summer camp experience without financial constraints.
Each scholarship not only covers the camp fees but also includes additional essential components. Campers will receive a nourishing Kosher lunch daily, convenient transportation to and from the camp, and a backpack filled with camp essentials, including two swimsuits, a beach towel, goggles, a water bottle, a hat, and sunscreen.
