Carytown Watermelon Festival, Other Events
Kehillah will once again have a booth at the annual Carytown Watermelon Festival on Aug. 13, which is entering its 41st year. Come say hi, play spin-the-wheel and win prizes, and learn about our community. Stop by anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.—it’s free!

- Jewish Learning Café: Join us August 15, 6–8 p.m. at Gather-Short Pump for our informal learning sessions where we explore (and debate!) Jewish ideas about life. Open to anyone aged 13 who is Jewish, wants to be Jewish, loves a Jewish person, or is just a little “Jewcurious”. This event is free, but you must RSVP.
- Shabbat Picnic & Torah Study: Join us Aug. 19, 10–11:30 a.m. for a combined Shabbat morning service and Torah study at the VMFA! We’ll gather outside on the lawn. Bring a blanket and a food item to share. All are welcome. No Jewish experience required. This event is free, but you must RSVP.
