Richmond philanthropist and business owner Charles Lessin, has been installed as president of Keneseth Beth Israel Synagogue.
This is the same synagogue that Chuck served as president of more than 32 years ago. Earlier this year, Chuck was appointed to serve a four-year term on the Virginia Israel Advisory Board by the Virginia State Senate.
“I am blessed to be installed in this role to continue serving our community,” said Lessin. “The Keneseth Beth Israel Synagogue has a rich cultural history as the only Orthodox synagogue in Richmond. More than 32 years ago, I had the privilege of serving as president of the same synagogue, and it is a humbling honor to come back to serve in such a meaningful manner. Earlier this year, I was reappointed to serve on the Virginia Israel Advisory Board by the State Senate.”
He noted, “Our community has come a long way and made incredible strides across our Commonwealth, and I am honored to continue my service in these capacities.”
