The High Holiday season is upon us and vast improvements are afoot to foster Jewish life “South of the James.”

Rabbis Menachem and Moshe Sherman are assuming the positions of Rabbi and Cantor, respectively.
Several new programs are being started by the new Rabbi, with our traditional services still underway:
• Shabbat services on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m., and
• Services on select Saturdays, including both adult services and beginner/children’s services.
Given the excitement of a new Cantor and an improved oneg, August services have the attendance of some High Holiday services!
The High Holidays also involves our sprucing up the synagogue.

Pictured are some of Sisterhood ladies after polishing the silverware in preparation for Rosh Hashanah.
Services are free, but we need to know who is coming so we can let security know.
