Once again, Super Sunday was a very successful day this year for the Jewish community and Israel as 156 community members made gifts totaling more than $156,000 on Dec. 3.

A big thank you to the nearly 50 volunteers and the Federation professional team, led by Annual Campaign Co-Chair Brian Greene, Community Campaign Chair Hedy Lapkin, JCFR Director of Principal Gifts Brad Kaplan and JCFR Financial Resource Operations Director Rebecca Spivey, who called hundreds of community members from the Weinstein JCC or from the their homes.

In about three hours, the result was $143,490 raised for the 2024 Annual Campaign. Additionally, community members made gifts of $12,890 for the Israel Emergency Campaign!

We especially want to thank the community members who answered the calls and made gifts to the 2024 Annual Campaign and the Israel Emergency Campaign on that day and since.

The Campaign has raised over $2.598 million and the IEC over $1.981 million at Reflector press time.

Super Sunday Special Award

Thank you to the amazing squad of RTA volunteers – parents, students, board members, staff and alumni – who participated in the Super Sunday phon-a-thon. Because of their dedicated efforts, RTA earned $1,000 as the annual Spirt Award recipient based on the total number of volunteers taking part in Super Sunday.

Although the calendar year has come to a close, our fundraising efforts are still going strong.

While we have more work to do to ensure our Jewish community remains vibrant, sustained and supported, we are proud of what the Annual Campaign and IEC have accomplished thus far.
