Allison Snyder, Chief Operating Officer at the Weinstein JCC, played a pivotal role in this community partnership, serving on the Interfaith Advisory Council of RPS Superintendent Jason Kamras during the 2022-23 school year.
Immersed in the council’s work, Snyder witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by communities, teachers, and staff, compelling her to act and empower students.
Over the past year, the Weinstein JCC has extended a helping hand by donating books, sports equipment, and gift cards to support schools and families in need. These resources have been a crucial lifeline during evictions and crises, providing essential assistance when it’s needed most.
The impact of their generosity was recently magnified when six deserving children were chosen to attend the Weinstein JCC’s Camp Hilbert for two weeks, completely free of charge. In addition to covering the camp fees, the JCC also supplied essential supplies and meals, ensuring that these young participants could fully immerse themselves in a transformative experience.
