On October 18, Or Amians gathered for a brew and friendly conversation at Veil Brewing Company in Scott’s Addition.
Then on October 22, about 30 Or Amians and friends hit the pickleball courts at Huguenot Park followed by a potluck picnic lunch. People of all ages tried their hands at the game under the instruction of pickleball experts Adam and Hillary Goldsmith and Rabbi Ahuva.
Risk it for Brisket and Kugel Cookoff
Please join Congregation Or Ami for our annual “Risk it for Brisket and Kugel Cookoff” from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on December 3 at Congregation Or Ami 9400 Huguenot Road.
If you purchase your tickets in advance by November 30th the cost is $15/person and $40/family. At the door, the cost will be $20/person and $45/family.
There will be 4 different briskets chefs and 4 different Kugel chefs. You can decide which Brisket and Kugel you like the best!
There also will be Mac and Cheese, Salad, Fruit, and rolls included in your ticket price.
We will have a Chanukah Shabbat Service open to the whole community on Friday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. Bring your own menorah along with three candles to light in the big windows of Or Ami’s sanctuary.
Our Religious School students will also be enjoying a Kids Chanukah Party in the morning of Sunday, December 10.
Three of our Or Ami Bar Mitzvah students, Levi Gill, Tyler Gill, and Logan Crowe (see below) are working hard to raise money for their Mitzvah Project (fixing the kitchen at temple). New Year’s Eve Party
Please join us for annual New Year’s Eve Party on December 31st at Congregation Or Ami from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
We will have music by Turf Fire, a Traditional Irish, Scottish and American Folk Music Band.
Please reserve your tickets for our annual New Year’s Eve Party by December 28th. The cost is $35 per person in advance and $45 at the door. The ticket price includes one plate of food and one beverage. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase.
