Friendship Circle of Virginia held its monthly Birthday Circle on Saturday night, Jan. 22. But this wasn’t an ordinary Birthday Circle!
To keep their families safe and warm, Friendship Circle of Virginia held a Drive-In Movie Night! This was the first drive-in movie night offered by Friendship Circle and it was sold out!
Families were greeted by Teen Friends as they signed in and were given a popcorn bucket full of movie concessions such as popcorn, twizzlers, and chocolate covered raisins! Each child received a fidget pop bracelet as well in the color of their choice for those who may have needed some sensory input in their cars during the movie.
Once our families were parked they settled in for a viewing of the heartwarming movie Wonder. Halfway through the movie, cotton candy was delivered to each car as a fun surprise. Due to limited space we had 40 participants which included Teen Friends, friends with disabilities, siblings, parents, and community members.
