Friendship Circle of Virginia (FCVA), like many non-profit organizations, had to adapt to new challenges during the pandemic.

The 2022-2023 program year offered the opportunity for our first complete in-person program year since 2018-2019 and we   continue to expand and serve the Richmond community.

Over 3,700 individuals benefited from our services this program year!

FCVA was thrilled to return to hosting our popular monthly Birthday Circles at locations such as Surge Adventure Park, Mesa Vista Horse Farm, and Peak Experiences to name a few.  These varying locations throughout the Richmond area provide families a chance to try new activities with friends that they may not have previously been able to attend.  See graphic below the article for details.

Friendship Circle continues to grow!

Almost 100 new families were added to the circle including families with children with disabilities and teen friends. Many of these families were the first to receive Birthday Boxes on their birthdays, the latest project of FCVA that was launched in January and sponsored by the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond.

Don’t miss Friendship Circle of Virginia’s 2nd Annual Disability Inclusion Day at the Diamond presented by fas mart© on May 21st at 1:35 p.m. in Richmond!

This event is sponsored by the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond, Genworth, Dominion Energy, Allianz, Rudlin Torah Academy, and Capital One.  Additional sponsors include Dominion Energy DiversAbility, Markel, McGuire Woods, and Partnership for People with Disabilities.
