The Paula Carl Mega Challah Bake, Braiding Edition, is coming in October

By Jill Grossman, Director, Women’s Philanthropy and Affinities

The Paula Carl Mega Challah Bake, featuring Rochie Pinson, master challah baker and the author of the internationally bestselling “RISING! The Book of Challah,” will take place at Chabad on October 15th at 3:30 pm.

Chabad of Virginia, Hadassah Richmond, and the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond have partnered to bring the community a unique challah talk and braiding experience.

Rochie will speak about her journey to writing the world’s most gorgeous and comprehensive book and cookbook of challah, the deeper significance of challah, the power of the Jewish woman, and how challah is truly a recipe for life.

Weaving her life experiences as a rebbetzin, mother, educator, and passionate challah baker into all her challah teachings and demonstrations, Rochie travels the globe, bringing the practice of challah: both the making of the bread itself, and the mitzvah of the dough separation to a whole new level of joy, fun, and spiritual significance!

Her stories and recipes delight and inspire and will elevate your Shabbat and Holiday experience.

Rochie is now the author of a second cookbook, made for the next generation of challah bakers “The KIDS Book of Challah: Challah Adventures for the Whole Family.”

Registration is limited and required.  For questions or to register, please visit rvachallahbake.com or call 804.740.2000, ext. 0.

There will be a special opportunity to purchase a book and have it signed by Rochie at the event.
