The Sara D. November Gallery is excited to unveil an open call for entries, inviting artists to contribute their two-dimensional fine art and photography pieces to the upcoming juried exhibit titled “Express Yourself: This is Us!”

Scheduled for January 2024, this exhibition offers a platform for artists to share their unique perspectives.

At the core of this exhibit lies the belief that every individual harbors a distinct story, a personal outlook on themselves and their role in the world.

By sharing these narratives, the gallery aims to foster connections that strengthen the community bond. The act of expressing oneself not only evokes emotions but also sparks dialogues that unite us all under a common identity—being a part of the collective “us.”

Artists are invited to channel their creativity by submitting up to five pieces for consideration. The jurying process will be overseen by accomplished Richmond artist, Steve Ferretti (steveferrettiart.com), renowned for his diverse portfolio encompassing abstract acrylics, monotype prints, cold wax, and oil creations.

With a background in environmental design from the Philadelphia University of the Arts, Steve’s discerning eye promises a unique selection process.

The exhibit will run from Jan. 11 to Feb. 29. The grand opening and reception are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 11, from 7 to 8 p.m., offering a free event accessible to all interested attendees.

Submissions will be accepted between Sept. 1 and Nov. 5. Artists should register and submitting payment through the Weinstein JCC website. Following registration, participants will receive a link to a dedicated submission platform.
