The Weinstein JCC’s Jewish Family Theatre is gearing up for an exhilarating season!
Its December musical, “Cabaret,” is set to grace the stage, featuring timeless music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, paired with a profound book by Joe Masteroff.
Despite its 1960s origins, the musical’s resonance remains strong in today. Auditions for “Cabaret” are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Weinstein JCC.

Welcoming the Jewish New Year also heralds fresh theatre offerings. The Spotlight Youth Theatre Class caters to aspiring young talents in grades 2-5, providing an engaging 8-week introductory experience into the enchanting world of theatre. The class will convene on Tuesday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:45 beginning Oct. 17.
For those aged 12 and older, the JFT Master Class series is an exciting prospect, featuring accomplished professionals from Richmond’s theatre community. This comprehensive series spans four sessions, delving deep into dance, acting, vocal training, and audition techniques. Whether opting for a single session or all four, the first session commences on Oct. 16, running from 5:30 to 7.
