Thank you to our RTA family and entire community, who came out to generously support our 7th and 8th Grade Toy Drive, in memory and merit out of our dear friend and beloved student, Skyler Legano ob”m.
Skyler loved being able to share games and gifts with others. In his memory, we collected toys, books, games & gift cards for local children in need and in hospitals.
The response from RTA families and friends, family, friends & neighbors of Skyler’s has been incredible.
Last year’s drive brought an unbelievable number of packages, toys, books and games, and this year’s drive actually surpassed it. You truly had to see what we collected to believe it.
For this drive, RTA partnered with the Jewish Family Services ‘Lights of Love’ program, and ASK pediatric oncology foundation @ VCU.
Our special thanks to Mrs. Sorah Plotnick and, of course, the entire Legano family for engineering and coordinating this remarkable effort.
This was a tremendous Mitzvah and a true Kiddush Hashem. It was also a shining example of what we can accomplish when we work together to bring joy to others.
