JFS’ Lights of Love is back for its fourth year!
Lights of Love is a program that brings warmth and light to our neighbors who might otherwise feel forgotten during the winter holidays.
Last year, generous donors and friends helped us provide personalized gifts for over 150 children, adults, seniors, and families! The program has grown every year, and we hope you’ll join us to spread the light and love even further!
From Nov. 1 to Dec. 5, JFS’ giant menorah will be back in the foyer of the Weinstein JCC.
You’ll find paper flames hanging nearby, each with a wishlist and a little information about the person or family printed on the back. Simply take a flame and include them in your holiday shopping.
Then bring the gifts – unwrapped! – back to the JCC before Dec. 5!
We’ll host “wrapping parties” the following week similar to one in photo above to put the finishing touches on the gifts, and then deliver them the week of Hannukah! JFS staff spend time throughout the year getting to know their clients: what makes them smile, their favorite meals, and learning what might make the holidays extra special for them, so the gifts are truly personalized. When JFS volunteers and staff drop off gifts, many stay to visit.
We are so grateful to everyone who has helped make Lights of Love a success!
